Multi-factor, federated authentication using Azure Active Directory (username/password, phone call, text message, mobile app verification code, smart card, etc.)Ĭloning a VSO repo in IntelliJ is very simple. The following methods of sign-in are permitted, with support for default Windows credentials coming soon. The first time you interact with TFS or VSO from IntelliJ, authentication is required. We have also open-sourced the code on GitHub. You can install it from the IntelliJ Plugin Repository by searching for “Visual Studio Team Foundation” as described on the Visual Studio Online – Java site. The plugin is in preview with an anticipated release in early 2016. Streamlines creating pull requests from the IDE for code reviews and policy-based merging Makes it easy to clone and share code by browsing team projects and repositories Simplifies multi-factor authentication to TFS and VSO To balance useful features with time-to-deliver, the first version of the plugin: For instance, compare the number of potential steps required to create a Git pull request with and without the plugin: VSO’s primary user interface is browser-based, but we chose to expose popular VSO capabilities in IntelliJ to decrease the steps and disruption of context-switching to a browser. Based on our own Java team development and customer feedback, we saw greater focus and productivity when developer attention was kept within the IDE instead of changing context between tools. We built the plugin to simplify and optimize developer interaction with TFS and VSO Git repositories from IntelliJ or Android Studio. It is free for teams of 5 or less and its tiered pricing is affordable for larger teams.** VSO offers unlimited private Git repositories. These provide on-premises and cloud collaboration services for version control, agile planning, software build & continuous delivery, and application analytics – for Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Xcode or any other IDE or code editor. This new plugin provides features for both Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Visual Studio Online (VSO). Expanding our support for Java IDEs and following in the footsteps of our Eclipse plugin, today we are announcing a preview of the Visual Studio Team Foundation Plugin for IntelliJ that works with IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio.

The new partners moved quickly to put their plan into action. “I always knew it would work as a bigger business, but I needed that push.” “I had this business for 17 years,” Diane said. It was the impetus Diane had been waiting for. Laurel called her aunt and proposed taking the business to the next level. “There was nothing like this in the marketplace.” “We would inhale them, finish a whole bag before we got back home,” recalls Laurel, who is married to former Detroiter Ethan Orley. She kept coming back to her aunt’s sprouted nut snacks, which her family enjoyed during their visits to Metro Detroit. “I wanted something that was my own, a brand identity and a story that reflected me.” “I’ve been inspired by people who start their own companies,” she said. Laurel Orley was on maternity leave from her job in the consumer-packaged goods industry when she realized she was not eager to return to the corporate culture. Under the name The Health Nut, she began selling nuts to customers across the country. “It started as a fluke,” said Diane, who began making sprouted nut snacks years earlier, after learning the process from her sister, Cynthia Reynolds of Austin, Texas.įamily and friends who sampled Diane’s creations encouraged her to market them to the public. While you won’t find this technology everywhere in the near future, the scientists are trialing it out with real humans now and it may be another tool to help those affected by paralysis. In other words, there’s now an upper bound on typing speeds, or communication speeds for that matter of fact, given specific brain-computer interfaces. Interestingly, the scientists also showed in their paper that there’s a direct correlation between the typing speed and the amount of information being captured by the electrodes. While that’s about as fast as your grandma trying to send a text message, the scientists are confident the system is robust and agile enough for a basic conversation. The two monkeys that trialed the system, named L and J, were able to achieve typing speeds of around 10 and 7 words per minute. Patients - or rather, in this preliminary test case, monkeys - were able to then control a cursor and type out sentences using their thoughts alone, as you can see in the video above. Using long-term implantable electrodes, the scientist were able to develop a robust algorithm that could translate electrical signals in the brain, essentially thoughts, into usable inputs for a cursor on a screen. EduTyping requires no textbooks or paper and allows educators to teach. While devices, such as prosthetic limbs that use our muscles’ electrical signals, aren’t new, the Stanford approach is different, because it relies on the brain’s own signals. Search, discover and share your favorite Typing Monkey GIFs. EduTyping is a revolutionary web-based software for teaching keyboarding to students. The technology could be used to allow paralyzed people to communicate even if they can’t move their body at all. Stanford researchers achieved an impressive result recently, when brain-scanning technology, also called a brain-computer interface (BCI), allowed a monkey to control a cursor on a screen and type out a line from Hamlet. That’s exactly what scientists at Stanford University achieved by scanning the monkey’s brain and teaching it to type out letters using telepathy science. Do infinite monkeys typing on infinite keyboards eventually write out Hamlet? The answer is definitely yes, but the interesting part is that even one monkey can type out Hamlet, or a copy of The New York Times. Playing basketball from the comfort of your couch has never looked or felt so good. But ultimately, it’s the gameplay changes that make NBA 2K23 worth picking up. Jordan Challenge is a great addition that can eat up many hours of your time, while M圜areer is more engrossing than ever thanks to its entertaining story. Still, VC issues aside, which aren’t anything new, NBA 2K23 is undoubtedly the best entry in the series for some years. You can earn it, sure, but if you want to make real progress, and quickly, it’s simply far easier to splash the cash. They’re all good, but once again this mode steers you towards buying VC in a way that’s unnerving. Contracts are a thing of the past now, too. In MyTeam, however, the reliance on VC is as prominent as ever.Īdditions to MyTeam this year include new features such as Triple Threat Online Co-Op and the ability to lock control to a single position across all MyTeam modes. Thankfully, your player feels much more capable as soon as you start this year though. In M圜areer you’ll find earning VC to improve your player’s stats a drag, and so you’ll always be tempted to buy a bunch with real money. The only thing that drags NBA 2K23 down a little is its reliance on VC. You’ll obviously get the most out of it if you’re a Michael Jordan fan, but the challenges are also fun in their own right. You’ve got videos that delve into the history of the iconic player, while the matches themselves have retro filters and old fashioned HUDs to make it look and feel like you’re delving into the past. What really sells Jordan Challenge is its presentation. Get the majority of the stars, and you’ll be rewarded with goodies for both M圜areer and MyTeam modes. 15 challenges are on offer, and you might have to play each of them numerous times in order to plunder all of the stars they have available. Now it’s back with a whole new selection of challenges, and it is brilliant. Long-time NBA 2K players might remember this from NBA 2K11. The biggest new addition to NBA 2K23 this year in terms of content is a mode called Jordan Challenge. Online play has been implemented with finesse, too, allowing you to jump into game of all types without much fuss. There’s a whole city to explore and things to get involved in, including Quests. Beyond that, M圜areer is largely the same as ever, but just that bit more polished and interesting. And so straight away, you have a rival.Īside from the welcome new premise, you’ll find that tweaks have made to the badge system, giving you more control over how you build your character than ever before. But there’s drama: you’ve been picked in the last spot for the team of your choice ahead of a fan-favourite. Things are a bit different this time around, with you immediately being drafted rather than having to make your way up. It’s not only the quality of the on-court action that makes NBA 2K23 a winner this year though: M圜areer is also a highlight. Along with other improvements to things such as AI, NBA 2K23 is always fun to play. After that, you’ll notice increased sluggishness. New adrenaline boosts help with that, too, allowing you up to three bursts of speed while you have possession. Changes to the shooting system, as well as refinements in other areas such as defending, result in a game that feels more dynamic. Whether you’re on offence or defence, it simply feels good. At least in the PS5 version we’ve tested, anyway.īacking up those animations are a wealth of gameplay tweaks. Sure, the crowds ruin its overall aesthetic a little, but anyone passing by as you play will think you’re actually watching basketball on the TV. When putting together NBA 2K23, Visual Concepts has put more care than ever into animation, leading to gameplay that not only feels more fluid, but also more authentic. It’s mostly down to the on-court action, which has never been better. The NBA 2K series has had its ups and downs, but this year’s entry will be remembered as one of the best, we think. Single arm dumbbell rows 70 lbs for 12 reps So I can't really comment on using them for legs, but I think they'd be fine for split squats, db deadlifts, and front squats. Other: I will admit I don't really use my powerblocks for any lower body work. With the elites, you may always have to leave an extra rep in reserve than normal to make sure you can control the weight and safely put it down at the end of your sets. If you just really like dropping dumbbells after a heavy press set, then these are simply not for you. If you're doing some really dynamic workouts like a CrossFit WOD or something, you should probably stick with urethane or rubber dumbbells. In all seriousness, I do think the wrist guards may be a nuisance if you have large hands + wrists.Ĭons: I would not recommend dropping the PB Elites. If you have hands like Michael Jordan or Kawhi Leonard, I'd stray away from the PB Elites. If you have small to average sized hands and wrists, I honestly do not think the wrist guards will be a problem for you. The top of my middle finger to my wrist is just short of 7 inches, and my hand stretched-out from pinkie to thumb is just short of 8 inches. However, I am not a big guy-and I do not have large hands or big wrists. Wrist guards: I think the wrist guards are the biggest complaint about the PB Elites. I workout with cast iron plates on my barbell, and the PB Elites are not louder. Noise: The metal-on-metal clanking of the PB Elites may be an issue for some if you have to absolutely be quiet when lifting. For someone like me who is working with about half a car space in a garage, space is paramount when considering home gym equipment. They certainly take up less space than dumbbell sets. Space: I believe the PB Elites take up less space than the Pros as they are slightly more compact. As such, I cannot compare the PB's to them.Ĭosts: You know your budget better than anyone else. Unfortunately, I have not gotten my hands on many other adjustable dumbbells such as IronMasters, BowFlex, Nuobells, or even other PB models. Yes4All Adjustable Dumbbells ( I absolutely hate pressing with these) Rubber Hex Dumbbells with countoured grip and semi-knurlĬast Iron Hex Dumbbells with straight handle Iron Grip 12-sided dumbbells with straight knurled handleĪmerican Barbell/GP urethane dumbbells with straight knurled handle Of all the dumbells I've used, I'd personally rank them: I'd say that I prefer my powerblocks to my rubber hex dumbbells with a contoured semi-knurled grip (e.g, like the ones from Titan or from Rogue) and cast iron hex dumbbells. I've been doing many variations of presses, rows, curls, and skull crushers with them too. I actually really like the block-shape of the dumbbells for curls in comparison to normal dumbbells. Moreover, the powerblocks are super easy to adjust, and their shape does not bother me at all. I can see these easily lasting 15+ years under normal use. I've been using them for over a month, and they still look practically brand new. I believe the set I have is at least a year old, and it shows little to no wear or tear. I wasn't sure if I could trust the plastic selector pin to hold 90 lbs, but it works just fine. Simply put, I think Powerblocks are amazing. Handle: Straight cylindrical grip set inside a padded handle. Stage 3 add-on kit brings the dumbbell to 90 lbs. Weight Stacks: Welded Steel Construction. I've been using the Elite USA Model for about 6-7 weeks now, and I figured I'd share my thoughts on them with r/homegym I came across a deal for some PB 5-70s for $350 on OfferUp, so I decided to pick them up and also ordered a stage 3 kit to expand them to 90 lbs. I was holding out on winning the Ironmaster lotto for months on end without any luck. Just to be clear.the tool is a good tool.you just have to choose which exercises it works well for you. I still have the blocks and use them for slow exercises. While I do not have the range of the p90, and they take up a lot more room, they are also collectively more expensive - my workout flow is definitely better. I also found that switching between the weights, esp if you want to add only a metal bar, makes drop sets within a reasonable time, unreasonable. The kettle bell is just an awkward shape, esp as the weights increase. It is wholly useless for any fast changes and cannot do it when in a rack. The opposite: the bar to fit on the blocks). The bars have a limitation in having to place the block appropriately on the bar (rather. If you have a chance to get any of those ease save your money. I also bought the ez lift bar and the straight bar and the kettle bell head. |
